How do you get the 'scrollers' to read your Blog Posts? You know the ones that scroll over your post and are just looking for the meat... the punch line!

Or maybe you'd just like to get some people to read your blog post once. I think we all know.... if we want a person to become a lead for your business with a blog, then you gotta get them to read your stories and posts to begin with.

So in this Video I walk you through step-by-step how I set up my posts to get max results and get people to actually read it AND share it.

The Headline

Is one of the most important parts. Because the Headline and the featured image are usually the only 2 parts someone sees before they actually click on your link and start reading.

So be sure you spend a little bit of time to create a great headline. Something that truly relates to the topic of the post. Sometimes curiosity provoking headlines are great, but just make sure it relates to the topic yet.

Images

I always start with my featured image at the top right below the headline. Sometimes I'll add more images through out the post.

The goal is to break it up, so it's easy to read and you catch as many scrollers as possible.

I use Canva.com to create most of images. Sometimes for the smaller ones I'll use Keynote on my iPhone and then screenshot it and email it to my computer to upload it to the blog.

Subtitles

Break it up! Using subtitles is key to "breaking it up". But sometimes it's better to just bold something or underline it.

Do your best to create the subtitles so that someone has to read more to really see what it's all about.

Widgets

These are some of your best advertising buddies of your blog posts. There's many different types of widgets available, but here are a few I highly recommend.

  • check
    Facebook 'Like' Box
  • check
    Images that are clickable
  • check
Twitter follow button or Embedded Tweet
  • check
    Recent or Related Posts
  • check
    Video Testimonials
  • check
    Link to Facebook Group
  • check
    Search Bar
  • check
    ManyChat Button(s)

As you could see in the video, widgets can be placed in the right column as well as in the footer section. If you are using our Personal Branding System and theme you'll want these widgets to be 300px wide.

In Summary

Just mix it up! Sometimes you just have to test different things out to see what works best for you.

If this seems pretty overwhelming at first, start with 1 or 2 of these strategies and use those until you've mastered them, and then go for a few more.

I believe in 'No Time' you'll be writing and creating great blog posts that people just can't help but like, and share.
